OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME – Another great win today for the Surge, defeating the Explorers 8-2. The Surge will look to continue their winning ways and make it 3 in a row tomorrow night @ 6:30pm. Take a look at today’s game write up below.
Old Orchard Beach Surge win their second game in row at the Ballpark! Surge beat the Aguada Explorers 8-2 Thursday afternoon.
Bradford Fulton was the winning pitcher for the Surge, throwing 6.0 innings allowing seven hits and one earned run. Also pitching for the Surge on Thursday afternoon was Desmond Drummond pitching the 7th and Paul Schuster pitching the 8th, each not allowing a hit through their one inning pitched. Ricardo Espinosa came in for the 9th inning to allow one earned run and record the save.
The batter of the game for the Surge was Daniel Dominguez, who impressively batted in five runs, three runs of which came from a double in the 4th inning. John Tierney Jr., Colin Carroll, Desmond Drummond, and Dalvin Ramos all recorded two hits a piece as well.
The Surge will complete their home-stand against the Aguada Explorers Friday, July 13th and Saturday, July 14th, both games starting at 6:30.
Following the Surge’s home series the Old Orchard Beach Ballpark will be hosting the EPBL All-Star Game and Home Run Derby on Monday, July 16th.
