YORK, PA – Dominic Severino, who moved up to play with the Bridgeport Bluefish of the Atlantic Leauge during the 2017 season, was selected by York Revolution and has signed for the 2018 season.
Dominic spent the 2017 season with the Old Orchard Beach Surge of the Empire League. He began the season as a starter for the Surge and later was sent to the bullpen to take over the Closer role.
During 2017, Severino posted a 4.11 era in 5 games started. He posted a (3-3) record with 3 saves. Severino topped out at 92mph. He struck out 31 batters in 35 innings while only walking 9 batters.
“Although his ERA didn’t show it, Dom is a phenomenal pitcher. He walked 9 guys in 35 innings. That’s pretty good. He deserves the opportunity to play at this level and we hope he continues on even further.” – VP Jerry Gonzalez
Severinos deal was finalized on February 22 with the York Revolution of the highest level of independent baseball in the Atlantic League.
